2010 Q&A

|
 |
What happens to the sponsor uniforms your
crewmembers wear during season when the season
is over?
James Gibson,
Baltimore, Md. |
 |
We turn the uniforms back in to the Roush Fenway
marketing department, and they sell them or use them for ads or other things.
|
|
 |
Is there a rule on where you place the stickers
such as Goodies and Sunoco?
Brian Lund,
Hartland, Wis. |
 |
Yes. All the contingency decals have an area
where NASCAR mandates they go. The companies
want to make sure their decal is placed in the
same spot every week on every car.

 |
When you get last year’s car from Daytona USA,
can you use that car in this year’s 500 as a
primary or back up car?
Mike Marini, Thunder Bay, Ontario |
 |
No. We actually don’t get the car back until
right before the race on Sunday.
|
|
 |
Hi Drew, I was wondering what you’re working on
in this “off season” to get the 17 to run more
consistently for 2010?
Lisa Greene, Hubbard, Ohio |
 |
In the shop, we are working on building lighter
better cars, putting on better bodies and
lighter chassis. The engineering staff is
working on set-ups for the track to make sure we
unload faster than last year.

I know a lot of drivers get asked for autographs
throughout the race weekend. So, do people ever
ask you for your autograph?
Heath Lawson, Clanton, Ala. |
 |
Every once in a while. Probably 4 or 5 times a
weekend someone will ask for it.
