2010 Q&A

|
 |
After running a full season in the Cup series as
a crew chief, have you changed the way you
approach adjusting the cars or various
procedures etc?
Gael Brooks,
Tucson, Ariz. |
 |
I have changed some personnel and I believe I
will be better prepared for each race than I/we were last year. The goal every
year is to get better personally and get the team better so I think I/we have
done that this off-season.

 |
How much information is shared between Roush
Fenway Racing and other teams like Richard Petty
Motorsports and Woods Brothers Racing?
Matt Holschuh,
Fond du Lac, Wis. |
 |
We share little with the Petty bunch and no
information gets shared with the Wood Bros.
|
|
 |
Now that NASCAR is replacing the rear wing with
the rear spoiler, How does that change the car
in terms of handling?
Paul Dobratz, Watertown, Wis. |
 |
We will have to see at the March 23rd Charlotte
test when the cars can get out their nose and
tail and see how they drive in traffic. We have
an idea from the tunnel results but I like to
see real-life scenarios before I make a
judgment.

 |
How much do the gas cans weigh, both empty and
full?
Mike Fangman,
Midlothian, Ill. |
 |
Full is about 85 pounds and empty is 12-15
pounds.

 |
I am starting a new job as at a Ford Dealership
as a service Technician. Do you have any advice
for me?
Jim Murray, Columbus, Ohio |
 |
Bleed the blue oval. Ford is doing great things
right now on the street and on the track. Their
market share keeps rising and it is a company to
believe in and want to be a part of.
