Q |
How strange is it to see your name and face on
everything?
Alison Pumphrey, Manassas, Va. |
Past Q&A

 |
|
A |
It
was strange at first, but the longer I am in the
sport the more I realize how cool it is and what
an honor it is to be used in advertisements and
things like that.

Q |
Looking back on ’07 and the use of the COT’s
that became more and more frequent, it appeared
to me that you got all of the glitches worked
out and are heading into an outstanding year for
yourself and your sponsors. Overall, what are
your thoughts and feelings about running the COT
full time in ’08? Thank you.
Steve Cavender, Monroe, Ga. |

A |
I
actually feel pretty confident about the season,
probably more so than normal. Off-season testing
went well and everyone on the DeWALT team is
ready to race. It will help this year that we
only have one car to work on and develop. The
car will be fine, it’s just more technical than
the old car and real sensitive.

Q |
In
your short off season were you able to get some
sled time on the Wisconsin snow this year? We
hope so and look forward to watching you fulfill
your “need for speed” with lots of success on
the track in 2008!

A |
Yes I
spent some time in the snow. In early December,
Greg and Nicole Biffle, Jamie McMurray and his
girlfriend, Kristy, along with Katie and I went
to Colorado skiing for a few days and had a
blast. Greg is a great skier, I’m not!!! Ross
got a snowmobile for Christmas and we were able
to put some miles on it in Wisconsin over the
holidays. We had a great time.
