Q |
Matt, you had a
really good run at Texas going until the 42 got
into you, did it damage your car at all or was
it the lack of aero in the new car that caused
you not to be able to get back in the lead.
Gabe Brewer, Colorado Springs,
Colo. |
Past Q&A

 |
|
A |
There was no damage. I
don’t think we even hit, but the cars are just
terrible in dirty air. We had about a 5th place
car, but when it was in front it was good enough
to challenge for the win.

Q |
Hi Matt! My husband
and I are huge fans. We were wondering which
track you travel to has the most Kenseth fans?
Adrianne Crawford, Kennesaw,
Ga. |
|
A |
That’s a good
question. The honest answer is I don’t know!
It’s hard to tell if you’re not in the stands.
To me it usually feels like Bristol and Chicago
are where I see the most. But I’m very fortunate
to have great fans that I get to see everywhere.

Q |
Matt, have you ever had the opportunity to fly
with any of the Air Force pilots? I live near
the base in Columbus Mississippi. Jack Roush
came here a couple of years ago and flew with
them. I bet you would love that opportunity.
Good luck this year.
Ronnie Elkin, Columbus, Miss. |
|
A |
Yes I have, I flew an
F-15 out of Charlotte a couple years ago, and
also flew an F-16 out of Luke Air Force Base in
Phoenix. I flew and got to hang out with the top
hats. They were really cool guys. I made some
friends and had a great time flying and talking
with them.

Q |
I’ve been a fan of
yours for about four years now and I must say
you get better and better every year. But I’m
curious, is there a track that is your all-time
favorite? And is there a track that you would
love to go back to and race at, such as
Rockingham?
Elizabeth Lewis, Dickson, Tenn. |
|
A |
Rockingham is one of
my favorites and one that I wish was still on
the schedule. It was a challenging track and a
lot of fun.

Q |
Matt, I know your
son Ross is into racing. Do you ever get to see
him race with your busy schedule, and how much
support are you able to give to him?
Mary Crisante, Bridgeport, N.J. |
|
A |
Ross is actually
practicing in Rockford, Ill., as I write this
from Phoenix, so it is hard when we both race
weekends. I’m actually going to get to see his
first two out of three races, weather
permitting. We just put together a new stock car
for him to run around Wisconsin and Illinois
this summer. He also is going to run his Legends
car this summer. He’s pretty excited for racing
season for sure.
