Q |
I just saw a show on the History Channel where
people were driving between 200 and 600 miles an
hour on the salt flats of Utah. Have you ever
driven there? It looked fun.

A |
I have never been there, but I bet 200 doesnt
feel as fast with no approaching corners!

Q |
Since you drive Fords in the Sprint Cup series,
are you obligated to drive Fords at home as well
or can you drive whichever brand of car you
choose?
Paul Dobratz,
Watertown, Wis. |
|
A |
Yes, I drive Fords along with most of my family
and friends. I have been driving my Mustang and
Explorer lately. My father-in-law just purchased
a new F-250 Super Duty, which is awesome, and my
dad has been driving a Mustang Shelby GT500KR
and a Lincoln MKX.

I heard you mention that you were going to the
Metallica concert in New Orleans earlier this
week. How was it? Did you get to meet the band?
Kevin Hesse,
Oregon, Wis. |
|
A |
It was really good. They are always fun to see in
concert, although I did leave there thinking I
was too old to do that again! I did not get to
meet the band this time.

Q |
Since Wisconsin had a late gun deer season, did
you give it a try this year? Any other sports
you do during your off-season or in-season when
you have days off?
John Liton,
Weber City, Iowa |
|
A |
I
did go deer hunting for a few days. Im not a
big hunter, but one of my best friends loves it
so it was a way we could spend some more time
together this year. I have tried skiing the last
couple years, I love snowmobiling, and of course
I love watching the Packers.

Q |
Now that the 08 season is over and the COT has
had a full season. Everyone has to run this car.
It was an up and down season for all drivers.
How much did you learn about this car that will
help you in 09 and beyond.
Stephen Slipher, Santa Clarita, Calif. |
|
A |
I
think the biggest thing we have learned is all
the cars are closer to the same speed than ever,
and all the little things such as fuel
mileage, pit stops, pit strategy, etc. make a
big difference. Track position is more important
than ever.
