Hi Matt, You and Robbie spent so many years
together is there anything specific you still
really miss? On the flip side, is there anything
different Chip does or says that makes you
think, Wow why didn’t Robbie ever try that, and
wonder how it would have worked with the old car
or past strategies? Best of luck next year!!!

They are both really good at what they do. With
the constant changing of track conditions, new
car, and tire, it’s really a moving target. What
works one week doesn’t always work the next.
Chip has always done a great job of trying to
stay ahead of the competition. I still spend a
lot of time with Robbie, maybe even more then
before, so it’s hard to say what I miss.

So what were you doing last week while the top
10 were in NY? I’m sure you’re bummed, but maybe
you’re doing something fun. I know you don’t
particularly enjoy the NY dog and pony show.

I had to go Thursday anyway! I don’t like
speaking in front of people, that’s one of the
most frightening things about my job. But I do
wish we were in the top ten and had some wins. I
hope to be back next year.
