Hi Matt, We know that you and Katie love cats
and have several of your own. Did your family
ever have a cat or any other pets when you were
growing up?

When I was little, we had a dog for
a short time, but it didn’t work out too well. Once we moved out to the country,
we had a couple cats that were outdoor cats and had a door where they could go
in and out of our race shop.

Not really, but your adrenaline gets flowing if
it’s a close battle, but I don’t get nervous.

Matt, You rarely ever have an in-car camera
during Cup races. Is this your decision, or do
they just not select you to carry one?

Generally the sponsors pay the TV networks to
have an in-car camera. So it’s really up to the
sponsor to decide if its worth spending the
money for it.

We all work for Roush Fenway, so just like me,
they get paid more money the better we do. But,

which of the 36 races on the Cup schedule would
you consider your favorite? Second, how did you
like Death Magnetic compared to Metallica's
other albums?

My
favorite race is any that we win!! I have always
enjoyed the World 600 at Charlotte as far as an
event, but my favorite track is Dover.
I
really enjoy Death Magnetic, I think it’s a lot
better than the last project and reminds me more
of their old stuff.
