Your dad and you own the car Ross drives. Do you
have any aspirations to be a car owner at the
Nationwide level? Would Ross’s advancement have
anything to do with it?

No I really don’t, honestly I have never wanted
to be a car owner at all until Ross started racing. I will certainly help Ross
as much as possible. I am enjoying watching him learn and compete. If he stays
at it and works hard, hopefully some doors will open for him down the road. The
days of independent owners competing competitively in the Nationwide series are
over in my opinion. It is way too expensive and most companies who have that
kind of money to spend advertising want to be affiliated with a Cup team and or
a Cup driver. However, we do have a great late model program in my opinion and
my goal right now is to get him as much experience as we can, and have fun doing
it.

Hi Matt, which Ford vehicles do you and your
family drive? Also with Chevy running the Impala
SS and Dodge with the Charger, has there been
any talk about Ford running the Taurus SHO next
year?

I drive a Ford Mustang GT500, and we have a new
Lincoln MKS that I love. I don’t know what the
plan is for the race car next year, I haven’t
heard anything.

between the two of you who will be the next one
to win?

speeding, did the police officer give you a
ticket or ask you for your autograph instead?

Well
it wasn’t for speeding; I was driving a rental
that had the wrong plates on or something. It
was in Florida and the officer was actually a
fan and wanted an autograph!
