I’ve read you’ll have the Crown Royal sponsor
next year. I love the stuff I’m just not big on
the color. What other sponsors are you going to
have?

. . . . . . . .

|
A |
To the best of my knowledge we have Crown Royal
for 18 races and are currently trying to sell the other 18.

Q |
Hi Matt, I was your 3rd fan ridealong at Madison
International last weekend. I felt like I was
flying — how fast were we going around the
track?
Audrey Ricard,
South Milwaukee, Wis. |
|
A |
Awesome! It’s always fun to give rides. I went
as fast as that car would go. Probably about 100
on straightaways — that’s just a guess, no
speedometers in race cars!

Q |
Hi Matt, My family just arrived back in Omaha
from your Fan Club Party. Thanks for signing all
of our diecast and making it a special day for
me and our three children. We were wondering
what your favorite raced paint scheme was? We
like the NANO and Carhartt schemes the best with
the DeWALT scheme a close second. Thanks for
making our day at the MKFC special and
memorable.
Brian Mattox,
Omaha, Neb. |

Thanks for coming, I’m glad you guys had a good
time. I know I did as well. My favorite paint
scheme was the DeWALT Million Dollar Challenge
car with the flames.

Q |
Do you choose which chassis you take to the
racetrack? Or is that up to the crew chief or
the team in general?
Joey Preston, Minford, Ohio |
|
A |
Drew and Chip usually decide for me! They have a
production schedule at the shop and with the COT
car they are not as specialized as they used to
be. They pick which car they think will be best,
but also with the different paint schemes and
tracks they have to plan ahead a while as well.

Q |
Matt, if you were president of NASCAR for a day,
what changes would you make to the COT?
Erik Magnus, Pinckney, Mich. |
|
A |
Honestly, I don’t know. I had some ideas about
what I would have done differently designing it
to start with, but now that we are this far into
it there really aren’t many easy changes we can
make.
