A Yes I did! Katie and I went with a few friends and had a good time.

Q Hey Matt will you or Jamie be running the FR9 (new Ford engine) at Talladega, or will you both be running it?
Chris Jones, Spanish Fork, Utah
A I know we are running one, I am not sure if anyone else is or not.

Q

With the recent media rollout of the NASCAR Ford Mustang for the 2010 Nationwide season, what are your thoughts on the new car? And have you had a chance to ‘Drive One’ yet?
Timothy Hicks, Dayton, Ohio

A Ha, I like that, you have been watching Ford ads! I have not driven the Nationwide COT yet, nor have I seen the latest version.

Q I noticed in the Nationwide Series at Charlotte that you were in the 16 and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was in the 17. Why were you in the 16 instead of the 17?
Jared Collongues, Marrero, La.
A Great question! Ricky had to run that race to be eligible to run big tracks next year like Daytona. The 16 is running the whole series. Since I was already scheduled to drive it, they took out the 17 for Ricky to drive.

Q Hi Matt, first I wanted to say good job to your son on winning the 2009 Big 8 Series. My question for you is, during the Fontana race I saw drivers in the Nationwide and Sprint go down on the apron while they were racing. What does that to their cars? Thanks a lot!
Alex Geiger, Woodburn, Ind.
A Thanks, Ross sure has had a great year!

The apron at Fontana is banked a little less than the track. Drivers go down there if their car is tight to try to find some more grip. Sometimes it helps your car turn; nobody usually drives down there so the pavement has a little more grip.
