I was wondering, with Daytona coming soon, what
are you looking forward to doing as the
returning Daytona champ?

I am looking forward to dropping the green
Sunday and trying to win it again! We have done almost all the media from being
defending champ etc. so I’m just looking forward to the race and trying to do it
again.

Hi Matt — Here’s to good luck for this season
(raising a responsible amount of Crown Royal in
my glass to you). Do you have any plans to do
commercials for Crown Royal like you did for
Smirnoff Ice? That commercial of your pit crew
removing the tires as you walked into a party is
my all-time favorite of yours. P.S. “Top Secret”
is a very unusual middle name. I’ve heard men
say “‘Danger’ is my middle name,” but never
that.
Geri Burk,
Ripon, Wis. |
 |
Ha, that’s funny. Actually if you must know, my
middle name is Roy. I don’t know what they have
planned as far as commercials. That’s something
the sponsor decides. The Smirnoff commercials
were a lot of fun, especially for my crew that
got to be involved in it with me.

Are you racing any Nationwide races this year,
if not why?
Donna Lottes,
Madison, Wis. |
 |
Not as of today. We don’t have a sponsor. Jack
loses way too much money racing one without a
sponsor, so he won’t run any unless we can find
the funding.

I am planning to visit your headquarters in
Cambridge soon, and was wondering if you could
suggest any “must see” sights in your home
state? Thanks for being a clean racer, it shows
more talent. Keep the faith. Thanks.
Lisa Schwebke,
Baker City, Ore. |
 |
Thanks for the plan to visit. Besides our
headquarters, some of my favorites are the
Capitol in Madison, the new
Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee, and
everyone loves to visit
Wisconsin Dells, especially in the summer.

So after seeing Kurt Busch go through the whole
infield grass at in the Shootout at Daytona with
the hood up over the windshield, is it scarier
in a crash to see where you’re going, or not see
where you’re going?
Laura Bowles, Monona, Wis. |
 |
It’s WAY scarier when you can see. When you know
you are wrecking for sure, or are upside down,
or ready to pound the wall, most people,
including myself, close their eyes right before
the point of impact!!!
