Matt Kenseth piloted the No. 20 Dollar General Toyota to a seventh-place finish in the 2015 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Kenseth started the event in 19th, but moved into the top 10 by lap 21, where he stayed for the rest of the evening. He climbed as high as fifth, but took the checkered flag in seventh.

Joe Gibbs Racing announces today that driver Matt Kenseth will appeal the penalty issued by NASCAR. The appeal will challenge the severity of the penalty which is believed to be inconsistent with previous on-track incidents. There will be no further comments from JGR personnel during the appeal process.

Matt Kenseth and the No. 20 Dollar General Toyota team finished 38th after several mishaps at Martinsville Speedway. Kenseth started in 18th and quickly moved into the top 10. He was running fourth at halfway, but on lap 435, Kenseth was turned on the restart. Further contact with another competitor relegated Kenseth to a 38th-place finish.

After starting in the fourth position in the No. 20 DEWALT Toyota, Matt Kenseth finished 26th at Talladega Superspeedway. Early in the day, Kenseth ran in the top 10, but a vibration mired him back in the field. Pit strategy helped get Kenseth back to the front, but he was mid-pack for the final restart and was caught in the race-ending wreck.

Kenseth started 11th and moved through the field, taking the lead at lap 72 and leading 153 laps throughout the race. As he led with three laps to go, contact by another vehicle sent Kenseth into a spin, relegating him to a 14th-place finish.
