It’s unfortunate that a third-grader’s school life doesn’t
quite give adequate time to attend all the races in the Nascar
season, but Matt’s son Ross did manage to head to some of his
favorite tracks this year. In 2001 he traveled to Daytona, Pocono,
Phoenix, Milwaukee, and Louden.

Of course, Ross has a racing schedule of his own. He raced the
1999, 2000, and 2001 seasons at Water and Wheels in Shawno,
Wisconsin. He won the championship in 1999, placed 5th in 2000, and
took the championship in his series again this year.

In Ross’s spare time, he likes to play
football and race,
and he plans on racing snowmobiles this winter. He’s glad that his
dad got a plane this year so he can pick him up and take him to the
race track.
Ross lives in Wisconsin with his mom
Lisa, her husband Scott, and
their daughter Rachel.
